“GINZA PLACE” just opened on September 24th.

It is 11 story building located on the Ginza 4-district crossing and mainly for NISSAN showroom on 1st floor, Sony’s showrooms on 4th ~ 6th floors (moved from the SONY Building at Ginza 5-district)  and Sapporo Beer group’s pub restaurant on the 1st basement.

The name “GINZA PLACE” is a simple name because every foreign visitors can easily remind and it comes from an image of global “Market Place”.

The overall building design was developed by a Japanese architecture studio Klein Dytham architecture which was also the designer of UNIQLO Ginza main store.

The building design has Japanese traditional craft “Fretwork” motif with balconies on the 3rd and 7th floors.

The facade was made from 5,315 individual aluminium panels reflects the Japanese sophisticated craftsmanship.

And lower cost damping materials (“T-F Damper”) developed by Taisei Corporation was applied to studs of 1st ~ 8th story at the first time.
